That's how this whole thing started. There actually was a real Beverly Quarter (or a real imaginary Beverly Quarter.) My daughter came home several times and said BQ had pushed her down or been mean to her. It took us a few times to figure out that BQ was imaginary, and somehow that expresison -- invisible frenemy -- popped into my head. That sounded like a good kid's book title. Unfortunately I can't write a good kid's book, but I did my best. ;)
